Children

If you are a parent looking for therapy for your child, you might feel helpless as you struggle to identify what isn’t working, and how to get on the same team as your child. You might be completely exhausted from the demands of parenthood, and out of ideas for supporting your child’s growth and development. Each stage of your child’s life brings new challenges, as well as new opportunities for discovery and mastery. In my work with children, I often incorporate play and art therapy approaches. I also work closely with you and your family to understand and support the building of your child’s emotional muscle. Through a combined approach of emotional learning and playful exploration, I work to foster more satisfying ways of growing together as a family - whatever that configuration may look like. In my work with children, my hope is to facilitate the deepening of love, curiosity, and connection between you and your little ones.

Teens

If you are a teenager, you might feel lost amidst a swarm of expectations. Perhaps you feel completely out of place within your body, your family, your social circles, or culture at large. The inner emotional demands of living through these years of your life are hard enough without the shifting outer pressures of school, work, and society. All too often, these demands can make you feel you are “behind,” or lead you to believe you are “failing” as you make your beginning. In our work together, my hope is to create a soft space where we can discover what is exciting to you about building and living your unique life.
